James Counce (Head Coach)

Coach Counce returns as head coach with 36 years of coaching experience.

He was born in South Fulton, TN and played high school football there.  As Murray State

University graduate, Counce played college football there. He was married to Donna Counce 

for 36 years, who passed away in the spring of 2007. He has 3 grandchildren; Caleb 14, 

Matthew 11, and Rylee 3.  His son, James Jr.,  is an assistant coach and his grandson, Caleb, 

is a freshmen.

Paul Decker (Defensive Line)

Coach Decker was born in Chicago, Il.   He played high school football
for Obion County High School in Troy, TN.  He is a graduate of UT Martin.  His wife, Kim,
is the head boys basketball coach for Dyersburg HS. They have three children; Winn, Kali, 

and Ella.

James Counce Jr (Strength and Conditioning/Offensive Line)

Coach "James Jr"  was born in South Fulton, TN.  He played high school football 

for Henry County and college football for MTSU.  He and his wife, Kim, have three 

children; Caleb, Matthew, and Rylee.

Bert Snow (WR - Special Teams)

Coach Snow was born in Paris, TN, where he played high school football for Henry County.
He attended and graduated from UT Martin. He and his wife Lori have three children;

McKinly,  Killian and Annie Grace.

Josh Dye (Defensive Backs)

Coach Dye was born in Memphis, TN.  He played high school football at Dyersburg High

School. He also played college football and graduated from Campbellsville University. He

is currently engaged to Ahdazsa Spoto.  They have a June 2009 wedding date. 

Tony Butler (Defensive Coordinator and Linebackers)

Coach Butler was born in Jackson, Tn.  He played high school football for 

Riverside High School and played college football at Cumberland University.  He

graduated from UTM. 

 Randy Newsome (QB, Backs and Linebackers)

Coach Newsome was born in Dyersburg, TN.  He played high school football for

Dyer County High School.  He attended and graduated from UT Martin.  

He and his wife, Carmie, have five children; Casey, Brook, Coby, Nick and Hunter. 

His youngest son Hunter, is a senior member of the Trojan football team.

Coach Cauthen was born in McComb, Mississippi, and grew up in Koscinsko and

Ackerman, MS. He is a graduate of Mississippi State University.  Chris's wife is 

the former Courtney Crocker, a DHS alumni.

Josh Rogers (Offensive and Defensive Line)

Coach Rogers was born in Arkadelphia, Ark. He played high school football for

Arkadelphia High School.  He played college football and graduated from Bethel College.

He and his wife, Kamela, have a son, William Maxwell.  

Doug French (Equipment Manager)

Coach French was born in Dyersburg, TN and played high school football for Dyersburg

High School.  He attended the University of Memphis.  He and his wife, Kay, have one

son, Ryan, and two grandchildren, Kady and Zander.
